Who can believe it is nearly November, and that we are still living in a pandemic?! Our Spring, Summer & Fall has gone as well as can be expected. We stayed open for tastings under our "pop up pergola" in the vineyard with Covid protocals which is now under rennovation so that we can finish it properly for next Spring. Fingers crossed that life looks a little different ( and better!) in 2021!
The word of the day in 2020 has been "pivot". We feel like every month, we have had to get creative to allow people to sip our wines on the vineyard safely. The picnic tables in the summer worked like a charm spaced 10 feet apart. People were safe outdoors, happily sipping. Fall and Winter bring new challenges.
The summer was nice and hot and allowed the fruit to ripen nicely. The Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot have all been harvested and we cannot wait to try the new vintages when they are ready next year. Fall has brought cooler temperatures and we look forward to harvesting the Cab Franc which should come off of the vines any day now.
We have pivoted again to allow safe tastings on the vineyard with our new "Tasting Tents". Our tents are heated and allow for up to 8 people in your bubble to taste safely and privately. We have also brought heaters into the Bergola just behind the winery and this will serve as a toasty and safely social distanced area for guests to taste wines.
You can come on by for a tasting , or book ahead online if you would like a specific date and time. The tents & Bergola will be twinkly for the holiday season and we will serve up mulled wine and other goodies.
It is time for us all to embrace winter, get those parkas dusted off and come on out to Wine Country to support local wineries. You can order ahead for curbide online under shop. We also deliver daily to Ontario, free for case purchases ( 12 bottles) , free local delivery in Niagara ( 2 bottle minimum) and $20.00 flat rate for under a case purchase. All cases can be mixed.
